The little feline of Font-de-Gaume
Like other carnivores, felines are relatively poorly represented in caves. At Font-de-Gaume, the most beautiful individual is located in the end diverticulum. It is discreetly engraved at the back of the almost inaccessible gallery. Its high position makes it invisible. With its short, square head, long tail and lack of a mane, the feline of the end diverticulum is indeed a cave lion.
