Of 29 slabs making up the walls, 23 are decorated, and 21 are almost entirely covered on their visible face. Other decorated elements are the chamber entrance sillstone, the pecking on some of the floor slabs, and the motifs seen in areas not visible from inside the crypt.

The "frenzy of decoration" even included an attempt to carve on a quartz pillar (number 11).

Polychrome may also have been added to the still visible lines.
