- Courtyard C: metal craftsmen
The south "courtyard" was for the metal craftsmen, mainly blacksmiths and coppersmiths, and some of the waste of the forges, dross, scales, droplets of bronze, cut-up sheet metal and charcoal was fond in a big multi-sided pit. Two houses with identifical layouts could have belonged to the blacksmiths. The considerable erosion of the steep slope has deprived us of the soils of the period and some post holes have completely disappeared, restricting the study to the waste from the few pits and grain stores. A few tools in new condition and the miniature spears indicate a diverse and high quality blacksmithing business.
