The excavation's partners

At an underwater site where everyone must agreed to a certain amount of risk, and where the long working hours (12 to 14 hours a day) are determined by the tide tables, volunteering only goes so far. The first hurdle was thus to put in place a core team of professionals and to put together a budget. Starting with the 2000 campaign, the Natière project was provided with solid and ongoing logistical and financial support.
Unwavering financial help from the Brittany Regional Council, the French Ministry of Culture, the Ille-et-Vilaine Département Council and the Saint-Malo municipal authorities, and logistical support from the Ministry for the Interior and the Infrastructure Office of the département of Ille-et-Vilaine provided crucial assistance and a strong impetus throughout the entire project.
