In the south of the Brunel Chamber a promontory surrounded by pillars creates a "window" which must be accessed by climbing. Five red dots have been placed on an ancient concretion  hanging from the ceiling and are visible from the floor of the cave. These dots, probably made by palms painted with ochre, may indicate a favoured position. It is only from this location that all of the different painted panels in this great chamber can be seen.
