This panel presents an elaborate composition: three small, sketchily drawn heads of horses in left profile (6 cm high), two yellow and one red, are each accompanied by dots and rods organised in a variety of ways. The dots, which are of variable size and number, are aligned vertically or grouped. The rods are vertical, drawn singly or in groups of two or three. Haematite, the red dye used, is a relatively liquid paint. The use of yellow (pure goethite) is very rare in the cavity.
