This area, unlike the other spaces, requires the visitor to move in a crouched position. It constitutes a passage between the first part of the cave – characterised by red drawings – and the second part of the cave in which engravings and black figures dominate. Named the "Sill", this passage is preceded by an anthropogenic structure: this element indicates that this short passageway indeed constituted a node in the organisation and perception of the cave by prehistoric people.
