Mammoth of the Entrance

The current access route into the cave is bordered to the right by a broad, massive and still active stalagmite in the shape of organ pipes. In the upper part of this feature, the natural forms evoke the silhouettes of mammoths. One of these has been emphasised with a line painted in red ochre, showing the forepart of an individual turned to the right. The remainder of the body is depicted by the natural relief. The trunk of the animal is hanging down, it has no tusks and no internal details are depicted.
