Hillaire Chamber

This chamber is located at the crossroads of the Candle Gallery, the Megaloceros Gallery and the Skull Chamber. This is an important area for palaeontology and ichnology, given the abundance of cave bear bones and traces. People have left numerous marks of their passage: charcoal, imprints of branches (fuel to supply the hearths), blocks, flint, etc. The drawings are restricted to the southern end of the chamber, on the left-hand wall and the pendants, and at the boundary with the Skull Chamber.
