Three small mammoths

To the right of the Horse Alcove and before the rocky relief that bears the four superimposed bison heads, three mammoths facing left are drawn below the bison which emerges from the wall, above a small panel to the side of the central alcove. According to the superimpositions, a first rather rough sketch of a mammoth (distinct relief of the skull, trunk and line on the back) was followed by another of the same style, then by the detailed drawing of a gangly young mammoth with large ball-shaped feet.
