A cave bear skull was placed on a rocky block in the centre of the chamber. The animal was not yet fully grown, as the sutures of the different bones in the skull (frontal, parietal etc.) had not yet joined. It was probably a young female judging by the very short and underdeveloped sagittal crest. It was placed on the edge of the block. We also note, both beneath the skull and elsewhere on the entire surface of the block, numerous small fragments of charcoal. Several dozen other skulls are present around this arrangement.
