Reindeer Panel

The Reindeer Panel depicts 13 animals. On the left, the surface has been scraped up to a height of 2.5 m. On the upper strip, at the limit of the manual field for a person standing, are charcoal drawings of a stag's head, a motif deliberately erased and illegible, and a horse head positioned between two reindeer running in opposite directions. Two stags, head to tail, occupy the centre of the panel; they are framed by a bison and an aurochs and topped with another stag followed by a red dot. Beneath the stags, 50 cm above the floor, a further torch smear and a simplified horse head can be seen.
