The main panel in the gallery depicts two felines, a bear, an indeterminate animal and a number of vertical dashes. The bear dominates the panel because of its stature, the quality of its drawing and its excellent state of preservation. The animal is no more than a profile, but the sensitivity of the outline suggests a number of details: a rounded muzzle, a slightly drooping lower lip, fur hanging below the jaw and small rounded ears. From the profile, a light stump-drawing has spread the dye into the interior of the silhouette and superficially coloured the head. The low carriage of the head and the forehead stop identify it as a cave bear.
