Three metres from the entrance on the left, a rocky pendant hangs from the ceiling close to the current route through the cave. On the base of this pendant, a red mammoth is turned towards the end of the gallery (height 22 cm). The slightly flexed front leg is continued in the line of the fur-covered stomach and finally the rear leg. On the back, the tail and the beginning of the hindquarters, the paint is diffuse and washed out, considerably less well preserved than on the front of the animal. The convexity of the rock wall makes the mammoth appear slightly three-dimensional.
