Horse of the Passage

Behind the Three Lions pendant and to the left of the Bison pillar, a corridor communicates with the Sacristy, one of the last chambers in the cave. When viewers are facing the bison, they see the foreparts of a horse facing left, as if it were entering the End Chamber. This horse, drawn using the stump technique and emphasised with engravings, is complete. The style is very similar to some of the other horses in the cave, particularly in the Horses' sector.
