Around the middle of the left-hand wall, in the deepest part of the great panel, a small alcove undoubtedly played an important role in the beliefs and understanding of the cave by the Aurignacians, due to its morphology and central position. The surface was scraped to prepare the wall for the drawing of a horse. The horse was drawn on the right edge, so that when seen from the front, the viewer has the impression that it is emerging from the rock.
