To the south, the bow emerges, lying to port. The starboard anchor is in place and its chain is visible.

To the north, the stern is mangled, forming a pile of metal debris.

ASDIC

Along the west side of the site, a few metres from the bow, the transducer (ultrasound transceiver) of an ASDIC is visible underneath the hull. This ancestor of sonar, was used to detect enemy ships.

To the east, visible on the deck side, are collapsed masts, a gun carriage lying against the sand, as well as demagnetisation wires.
