The open holds still contain 40 mm shells.

Some 40 m of the stern is still well preserved. The remains of the bridge rise 5 m above the seabed.

Though the propellers are missing, the propeller shafts are still intact.

To the south, all that remains of the front end of the heavily-scrapped ship is some 65 m of metal debris. Here fragments of the masts and boilers are still visible.

The Svenner had three boilers that powered two 40,000 hp turbines.
