In 1875, Louis Revon, curator of the musée d'Annecy and a correspondent of the Commission de Topographie des Gaules (CTG), gave a collection of watercolour plates to the CTG. The CTG sent them to the musée gallo-romain, which bound them in two albums called Savoie et Dauphinici. At the time, the albums were conserved in room 4 of the museum, known as the study room, and could be viewed by the public.
