This plate is one of the 500 produced for the musée gallo-romain under the supervision of General Creuly. We have evidence that shows that the notebooks produced by Creuly and the estampages sent by correspondents were used to produce these plates. Indeed, on the working documents, we can see calculations of scale which helped to produce the plates. This document shows the funerary inscription for a merchant from Lyon.
