This library is at the heart of the hôtel de Rochechouart, home to the Ministry of Education. It dates from the time of the Ministry of Public Instruction, as the ministry was known at the time of the CTG. Between 1857 and 1945, there was direct access from this room to the office of the minister of this powerful institution.
