The musée d'Archéologie nationale conserves a large collection of moulds, which it has made in its casting workshop since its creation in 1866. These two moulds were made in 1869 by Abel Maître, using arms discovered at Alise-Sainte-Reine between 1859 and 1862. Once a cast had been made, the museum exchanged its objects and casts with those of other institutions, allowing it to add copies to its collections and achieve its scientific and educational objective.
