This plate, taken from the album containing drawings and notes made by Charles Cournault, shows a large number of Gallo-Roman fibulae from different locations. The plate illustrates the scientific approach taken by this correspondent of the Commission de Topographie des Gaules (CTG): he has provided watercolour drawings which are numbered and signed, and assembled together on one page in order to be able to compare objects, their shape, decoration and origin.
