Highly realistic representation of a sculpted, painted and engraved human profile. Discovered on Easter 1949 by Suzanne de Saint-Mathurin, this is the first time that such a detailed human profile was discovered. Block discovered in the waste from the Rousseau excavation of the Taillebourg Cave at Roc-aux-Sorciers by Suzanne de Saint-Mathurin.

Oolithic Jurassic limestone. Max. length: 45 cm; Max. width: 32 cm; Max. thickness: 13 cm. MAN 83304 - BDD 152
