5952

The wall motifs in the Hall of the Bulls at Lascaux are the most imposing figures in all of Palaeolithic art. This ensemble contains 130 figures, including 36 animals divided between the two panels ? the left panel, known as the Panel of the Unicorn, and the right panel, called the Panel of the Black Bear. This vast depiction comprises three animal themes: the goat, with 17 representations, the aurochs, with eleven cows and bulls, and the deer, with six images. Exceptionally, the image of a bear is present.
