This painting produced by the German artist Lucas van Valckenborch in 1597, in Frankfurt am Main, depicts a round tower of Babel, with King Nimrod, mentioned in the Bible as the builder of the tower, in the foreground. Valckenborch made several versions of the tower of Babel, under the influence of Pieter Brueghel.
