The measurement of the field is expressed in Sumerian and corresponds to its annual seeding capacity. The measurement is then expressed in surface area to account for both the size of the field and the total volume of the resulting crop. The field has a capacity of 600 sutu, and measures 162 hectares. The management of such an area would have required considerable manpower. This may have been provided by the father-in-law, unless Dur-Sharrukinaia'itu leased the land to tenant farmers.
