Statuette d'un homme priant

This statuette is representative of Middle Elamite art. It was found in Susa, capital of Elam, present-day Iran, near the temple of the god Inshushinak, on the acropolis, and dates from the 12th century BCE. It depicts a man at prayer, carrying a goat as an offering.
