The 1859 version of the Penanros map reflects the spatial organisation within the enclosure as it appeared on the ground. The small room is thought to have been used for curing. The L-shaped building may have been living accommodation or a habitation ; the partition wall encompasses an area at the western end of the enclosure for livestock breeding and/or gardening.
