Kaolin pipes were a very common sight in the settlements between the 17^th and 19^th centuries, and they were mass produced in Europe during the 19^th century. The sherds discovered at Cap Champagne in 2016 come from a short and popular type of pipe with a flared bowl and prominent spur. Although devoid of decoration or a manufacturer’s mark, it is still possible to date them to the 19^th century.
