Archaeologists were able to record the diet eaten by people in quarantine following the discovery of 530 animal bones discarded after meals. Domestic fauna, such as cows, goats, pigs and avian fauna, but also wild fauna like fish were consumed and cut up on site, as revealed by the butchery marks noted on some bones.
