This rock bears a series of inscriptions that are difficult to decipher, including "EUDEL" and "E. EUDEL". Did the same Eudel engrave his name twice? It is possible but unlikely. Several members of the Eudel family visited Réunion for fairly long periods but the mystery remains complete.
