This learning aid was designed and produced by the Indian Ocean Department for Cultural Affairs (DAC-OI) and its partners to provide everyone with information on an outstanding discovery in Réunion. It includes real samples of wood taken from the palaeoforest of the Rivière des Galets. The aid also explains how palaeoenvironmental sciences are helping to shed light on the island’s past by providing a documentary film, the excavation report, documents on archaeology and two board games, among other media.
