Once the LiDAR surveys and data processing are complete, it may be useful to locate some anomalies of potential archaeological interest directly in the field. The remains inventory will help shed light on the anthropisation of the Hauts region of the island from the 19th century onwards (earlier remains, which are mainly the result of marronnage, are difficult to understand using LiDAR surveys).
