The site is described in archive documents, along with the animal yard:
"(...) we see Brother Amable, with a few children, busy inside the dwellings, and also the farmyard filled with rabbits, pigs, goats, turtles, pigeons, ducks, chickens, turkeys (…)"

The team of archaeologists made an unprecedented discovery when they identified with certainty another pond, probably used as a drinking trough for animals. A broad buried outlet above supplied it with water; it has now partially collapsed.
