Located on the eastern facade of the palace, this monumental gateway was built between two semi-circular towers. The limestone walls at this point were lavishly decorated with carved stucco. An audience hall above the solid masonry gateway had twin windows opening onto the exterior and visible above the gate. The facade decoration was transferred to the National Museum of Damascus.
