Law Code of Hammurabi, King of Babylon. 1792 - 1750 BCE Basalt. H.: 225 cm; L.: 79 cm; D.: 47 cm. Transported by a prince from the neighbouring country of Elam to Iran in the 12thcentury BCE, the code was displayed on the Acropolis of Susa with other prestigious Mesopotamian masterpieces.
