Object sculpted from reindeer antler, from the Montastruc rock shelter in Bruniquel (Tarn-et-Garonne)

This object, which is approximately 30 cm long, was previously thought to be a spear thrower and known as “the leaping horse”. It is evidence of the symbolic importance of the horse in the Magdalenian bestiary.
