Perforated hyoid bone from horse

This hyoid bone (the bone attached to the base of the tongue) was found in the Kesslerloch cave and is decorated with several curved lines incised on its two sides. Two other examples of perforated hyoid bones, one from a horse and one from a bison, were found in the Kohlerhöhle cave .
