This part of the Monruz site was transported in a block from its original location to allow more time for its excavation. It was discovered during work on the construction of a motorway. This 66-m² surface from the habitat level gives an idea of the density of the remains which accumulated during the site’s many reoccupations. We can clearly see the charcoal which shows where fires burned.
