This model is based on analyses of the areas of activity located around the open-air hearths on the Magdalenian site of Champréveyres. At this camp, all the hearths were used for a wide range of domestic and technological tasks, such as repairing weapons, preparing food and sewing. This makes it impossible to tell if any of the hearths were reserved for either men or women.
