Level IV-21.3 at Pincevent is one of the best preserved of this deposit. Around hearth 37-H103, which is particularly well preserved, we can see several areas for activities linked to flint knapping and the handling of horse and reindeer carcasses. The stones which surround the hearth, some red from exposure to the heat, may also have been used for other activities, for example, as seats or work surfaces.
