Backed points from Cepoy

Pointes à dos de Cepoy

Remains of the weapons used by Magdalenian hunters mainly consist of backed blades, probably used with sagaie points made from reindeer antler. However, at several of the region’s sites, such as Cepoy (Loiret) and Le Tureau-des-Gardes (Seine-et-Marne), backed points have been found, which came into general use during the Azilian, on the tips of hunters’ arrows.
