At unit D71-1, we have only found evidence of some of the activities that usually took place around domestic hearths. Refits of flint and stone have shown that large blades were primarily produced beside the hearth. The Magdalenians maintained the central space, removing waste from knapping and the hearth to the edges of the habitation.
