The survey conducted at the foot of the scree allowed researchers to identify and date an old hearth. From its age (36,000 to 37,000 years calBP) , it can be associated with thes Aurignacian presence and the charcoal figures. This is a valuable landmark, because it allows the floor of the cavity to be situated topographically.
