In the Sector of the Horses, over the Alcove of the Lions and the Reindeer Panel, the colours of the wall vary: white limestone rock, pale orange clay film, early red concretions, grey areas that are rich in phosphates showing an alteration of the limestone (this is due to leaching from the guano of bats that occupied the cavity long before humans), and orange calcite runoff partly covering the drawings.
