Rhinoceros Panel

Panneau des Rhinocéros
10776

Large areas of the soft surface have been smoothed to provide a light and even surface. This preparation is limited to the silhouette of the largest rhinoceros to be painted, but other pre-existing pachyderms have been erased. There is evidence of a succession of events, including the passage of bears, scraping, drawing, engraving, finger marks, heat flashes, etc.
