The central rhinoceros displays the typical attributes of this animal in the Chauvet-Pont d’Arc cave: a stump-drawn ventral stripe, arc-shaped ears, and a shaded maxillary arch. The double back line is not uncommon. A third front leg may evoke movement. Certain parts of the outline are enhanced by fine engraving.
